Love, with reckless vulnerability

I love being a pastor.

I love surprising people with the fact that you can be young, female, queer and neurodivergent, and still be a pastor— and that those things can actually be things that make you great at your job. I love making dumb Bible jokes and filling my office with craft supplies. I love baptisms, weddings, confirmations, first communions, blessing of the animals, welcoming new members, even funerals. I love making vast quantities of communion bread or shepherd’s pie or Christmas cookies in weird old church kitchens. I love parades and protests and festivals and going to kids’ school plays. I love silly conversations with my elders and serious conversations with the toddlers. I love preaching.

If you have questions about your faith, or where you fit in to the established “church,” if you’re struggling with past hurts or hesitant to open up again… I probably won’t have the answers. Life doesn’t get any less confusing by pretending we have it all figured out! But I will tell you 100% of the time that you do belong, you are loved, and you are not alone.

If you’re looking for a guest speaker or preacher, for someone to officiate your wedding, or to lead a loved one’s funeral, I would love to walk with you. If you want to talk about God and about your spiritual journey, let’s get coffee.

I’d love to hear from you.
